Biological child-care: this is the novelty for children in 2010, at least for two child-wear leading brands, Oviesse and Petit Bateau. Even if so different in their history, strategy and positioning in the market, both brands present the same line realized with ecological cotton, that will be worn by children next summer.

Children skin – sensitive, delicate and easily irritable – must be protected in the best way, carefully choosing tissues that will wrap it. Blending the essential attention for their health with the likewise inescapable respect for the environment, the path brought directly and successfully to biological cotton.

Soft, transpiring, therm-regularizing and free of those addictions that can interact with protective cremes, this cotton is made in natural fiber obtained through organic methods: textiles are obtained from trees cultivated without the use of insecticides, and also in the processing phase chemicals are banned, as for example in the coloring are used tints biologically-based, hundred per cent plant derived. For this reason cotton clothing is certified by OEKO TEX, the first agency guaranteeing the total respect for the environment and for human health.

Oviesse, with the new line Biocotton, confirms its attention to the child-world; in Italy, every day a child every three wears Oviesse Industry clothing, as chosen by 2,6 million mothers (almost the 70% of the market), who decided to follow the philosophy of this leading company in Italian market: creating, selecting and producing high quality items of clothing at a fair price.

Biocotton includes body, suits, bibs and bathrobes for newborn babies until three months, available in different colors, those of Summer: among the more classic milky white and beige, there are pink, yellow, lilac, green, orange and prints with stripes.

And “bio-stripes” will be worn also by babies whose mother's will choose Petit Bateau. The historic French brand, extends the ecological discussion to children and adults. Among newborn babies' clothing – little pajamas, suits and reversible cardigans in biological cotton – this brand recreates for all ages, a symbolic item of clothing for its history: the marinière.

The famous striped shirt, inescapable item in everyone's wardrobe, it is made in hundred per cent cotton and there is a multiple choice for the colors: from blue and white, to red and to all those lighter tonalities like water-green, gray, ochre yellow. There are Bio-Marinière also for the very little ones, and for the little ladies (from 0 to 24 months) the brand proposes a delicious dress in the same chromatic white and blue variation.

Moreover in all the biological clothing by Petit Bateau the tissue-tag will disappear and will be substituted with a serigraph print inside the shirt.

Producing biological cotton has also a very important ethical result, because this means taking care of the health of workers: avoiding the transportation of dangerous substances and allowing them to work in a safer place, means investing in their rights.

As everybody knows, “ecological” means – in every field – “comfortable”: everything respecting the Planet is by consequence suitable to respect the health and the wealth of the population inhabiting it. From the tenderest of the ages, ça va sans dire.
